Korea Information Communication Standard (KICS) is a national standard enacted by the Minister of KCC to guarantee the compatibility of IT service and manufacture, to protect users, and to promote common use of Information communication technologies.

Purpose

  • Those who attempt to use the broadcasting and telecommunications are able to legitimately employ the target equipments through the administrative procedures such as certification and authorization designated by the government. Technical regulations are what defines by law the technical conditions for broadcasting and telecommunications related to the said certification and authorization.
